A Week of Change – DISNEY Reporter

Welcome to the DISNEY Reporter! This week, there is a lot of Disney and geek news to cover but as always, the team has narrowed it down to the five top headlines!

Walt Disney World Resort has updated its face mask mandate this week and also increased capacity. This comes after updates to CDC guidelines. As this is happening, A Celebration of Festival of the Lion King returns to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. There are a lot of changes happening at Walt Disney World Resort as it continues to return to a semblance of normal.

This week during an earnings call, Disney CEO Bob Chapek shared some hints about the future of what was once the Disneyland Annual Passholder program. The new program will be a loyalty program that promises to make guests happier, and also shareholders.

The Disney Wish may not join the Disney Cruise Line fleet until 2022 but more details are coming out about it. The Disney Wish prices were released this week for those wanting to go aboard early cruises. Also, a new suite was unveiled this week that is in the forward funnel of the Disney Wish!

Finally, Star Wars Celebration has a new date. It has moved from August to May 2022. The new dates are specifically May 26 – 29, 2022.
