A Celebration of Festival of the Lion King to Open at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on May 15

Live entertainment is coming back to Walt Disney World Resort. The first show to return to Walt Disney World is A Celebration of Festival of the Lion King. Disney has announced that the show will be arriving at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on May 15, 2021. The show musical tells the story of The Lion King. It utilizes various types of performers and also has Disney characters from the story.

The return of this show will be different than before the pandemic. It is being modified to be “mindful of the current environment” Disney shared. This new version of the show has been having rehearsals and recently began test runs in front of Disney guests.
