Welcome to another edition of DISNEY Reporter! Each week Mr. DAPs shares the top Disney and geek headlines in this quick recap. This week there is a lot of news to cover as Disney continues to update its face-covering policies at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort.
In entertainment news, The Walt Disney Company garnered 145 Emmy nominations this week. 15 of these were for The Mandalorian and 19 came from Disney+. Disney Legend Alan Menken also received and Emmy this week making him an EGOT. He also revealed the title for the Beauty and the Beast prequel series coming to Disney+. In other Disney+ news, Muppets NOW! has arrived on the streaming service and Mr. DAPs has a review. Pixar also shared details this week about its upcoming film Luca.
Finally, Disney Legend and television personality Regis Philbin has died at the age of 88. DAPS MAGIC wishes his friends and family condolences as they go through this difficult time.
