Magic Kingdom Shares Disney Magic with Cavalcades and Character Viewpoints

With the reopening of Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom just a few days away, Walt Disney World Resort is currently offering various previews to first Cast Members and then Annual Passholders. With these previews, guests are getting a look at just what a socially distant and Walt Disney World Resort looks like as every effort is meant to create a safe environment. This includes temperature screenings, lots of plexiglass dividers, social distance signs and reminders, face masks, and also a whole lot of Disney magic.

One way that the magic is returning is through the use of cavalcades. Throughout the day, different themed cavalcades make their way through the parade route. They feature different characters throughout the day that have different themes. A good friend of DAPS MAGIC was kind of enough to share some video of some of these cavalcades.

On top of the cavalcades, characters also are popping up in different places throughout the day. Many of them are ending up on the front of the train station waving to guests when they aren’t on cavalcades. There are also some others to be found to. Over in Frontierland, the Country Bears can be seen atop the entrance to Country Bear Jamboree.

All in all, this is a fun bit of magic that is added into the day. The goal of these is to not encourage crowding along the parade route. From what is seen in the previews so far, it is working fairly well. The cavalcades move along at a fairly steady pace keeping things quite short. The characters on their different locations are far enough away that a good view of them can be seen from just about anywhere in the area. Their height also appears to alleviate the need to be super close.

Take a look at these videos before that our good friend shared with us of a character viewpoint and also what the cavalcades are like!
