The Bowers Museum Temporarily Closing Starting March 17

The Bowers Museum will be shutting its doors to guests starting on Tuesday, March 17th. The announcement came via an email that was sent to members over the weekend. This comes just weeks after it opened a new exhibit focusing on The Walt Disney Archives. Inside the Walt Disney Archives: 50 Years of Preserve the Magic gives guests a chance to look at some of the treasures of The Walt Disney Company from the 50-year legacy of the Disney Archives. The exhibit is currently scheduled to remain at the Bowers Museum through August 30, 2020.

At this time, the Bowers Museum is expecting to be closed from March 17 through March 31st. During this time the Bowers staff will continue to get paid. This includes both salaried and hourly employees. DAPS MAGIC will continue to follow this story, as well as many others and give updates as they become available.

Bowers Museum will temporarily close beginning Tuesday, March 17

For the health and safety of our staff, volunteers, and community, and in an effort to support public health officials in their efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19, the Museum will close temporarily to the public effective Tuesday, March 17 – Tuesday, March 31.
The Museum will honor any exhibition ticket purchases to be used at a later date without any additional process necessary. Additionally, we are happy to refund tickets upon request. Please contact visitorservices@bowers.org for assistance. We are working to reschedule any events that would have been held during this time and will be in touch with ticket holders directly with updates.
Given the unprecedented nature of this closure, our board has made a commitment to support the entire Bowers family, including salaried and hourly employees.
The Bowers Museum looks forward to reopening our doors soon. We will continue to monitor daily and reassess the need for closure. Any additional updates will be made by email, our website, and through social media @bowersmuseum.
We wish everyone good health and continued safety during this difficult time.
