KERMIT THE FROG, GONZO THE GREAT

Comic Con continues on and there are some great announcements coming from ABC for what’s in store this Fall season.

The Muppets have already been teased, but more details have emerged regarding the series.  The idea to spring forth with this show is seeing the Muppets in their everyday life.  We’ve seen them as celebrities, though struggling.  Now we get to see what their personal life is like.

The show will use the backdrop of a late night talk show hosted by Miss Piggy.  The show is supposed to be in the lineup after Jimmy Kimmel on ABC.  Kermit is a producer for the show.  Rowlf owns a bar across the street from the studio.  Many things are connected between the characters.  Denise is the name of Kermit’s new pig girlfriend, who is the head of marketing at the network.

I like where this is all headed as there are some fun ideas for the behind the scenes look at the Muppets’ lives.  Gonzo, for example, will try online dating.  It was met with great fan reaction at Comic Con, so this is looking more and more to be something good for the new season on ABC.

In other Disney related shows, Season 5 of Once Upon A Time had a panel to whet the appetite of fans.  This season will continue from the cliffhanger from Season 4.  Dark Swan, as Emma is known as now, will be the main plotline of the season.

Along for the ride will be returning characters, and one new Disney fairy tale venture: Merida.  This is the first out of both Disney and Pixar to be set in Once Upon A Time.

Within this season will be the 100th episode of the show, and the producers said they want to have something big to mark the occasion.  Other than that, we will get to see Emma’s dark side take over.  It looks to be another smash hit season for the show.
