New Looks at Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge Reveal Magical Connections with Disney Stories and Nature

Work continues at Walt Disney World Resort on Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge. This beautiful new resort is inspired by nature and looks to be a beautiful addition to the Most Magical Place on Earth! Today, Disney released a look at the variety of spaces that will be found when the resort is finished and guests can visit. This includes places to watch fireworks, places to eat, the lobby, and a whole lot more! Below is a first look at many of the spaces that will be found at Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge when it opens.

Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge Lobby

The lobby for Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge will allow guests who are arriving to be completely immersed in the sights and sounds of nature. There will be beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows that will showcase The Wetlands outdoor recreation area and welcome in natural sunlight. These will also allow the local flora and fauna to connect seamlessly with the architecture, artwork, and the ambiance.

This space draws inspiration from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Pocahontas. There will be a shimmering fiberoptic river illuminating the floor. Above will be a blown glass Colors of the Wind sculpture. This will include hundreds of suspended glass leaves that provide movement, color, and wonder.

The design in the lobby will utilize natural materials with custom tapestries inspired by the film’s landscapes and carefully crafted furnishings with accents of river-recovered cypress wood. This will provide a direct connection with nature as guests enjoy the lobby and all its views.

Dining

There will be three distinctive dining experiences for guests to enjoy during their stay. This ranges from quick grab-and-go options to beautiful waterfront dining. Each dining experience is receiving an incredible amount of thought and care so that when completed, they highlight the resort’s connection to the natural beauty of Bay Lake.

Moonglade

Found along the lakefront, Moonglade will be a table-service dining experience. It will offer stunning water views to accompany every meal. The meals themselves will feature seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.

The restaurant will feature floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the gracefully arching cypress trees that are found along Bay Lake. These will be accompanied by artful lighting, and a nuanced design will reflect the interplay of light and shadow.

Bay Lake Provisions

Over at Bay Lake Provisions, guests will be able to stop by and grab fuel for whatever their day holds. This will be the all-day, quick-service marketplace that will offer specialty coffee and fresh fare. The vibe for this venue will be that of an open-kitchen atmosphere.

Throughout the space, there will be woodland critters that are inspired by beloved Disney classics to be found as a little bit of hidden magic.

Paint Out Point Bar & Grill

The Paint Out Point Bar & Grill will be found near Lakeshore Lagoon.

This location will offer shareable bites and specialty beverages for guests as they enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds The Wetlands. This area is inspired by the art of plein-air painting. This is the pool bar for Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge, and it will showcase a collection of original artwork created by Imagineers as they drew inspiration from the Bay Lake landscapes.

Dandelion Terrace

For those looking for a magical place to watch fireworks, the Dandelion Terrace will be the place to see the Magic Kingdom pyrotechnics lighting up the sky over the waters of Bay Lake.

This lounge will have a two-story gallery of archival artwork from Disney classics like Fantasia. It will also have whimsical dandelion fixtures to add a touch of extra magic to the space. It will include soft lighting to accompany the sweeping views. This will make for the perfect setting to slow down and enjoy a nighttime spectacular.

Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge is expected to open in the summer of 2027. Daps Magic will continue to provide updates on its progress as they become available. What do you think of what you are seeing so far? What space do you like the most? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
