New Yorkers can experience the magic of Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge ahead of its public opening at Walt Disney World Resort next summer. Disney Experiences has created an expansive 3D street mural in Flatiron Plaza. This experience is available for New Yorkers to check out today, October 2, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on the corner of 23rd Street and 5th Avenue in Manhattan.
This installation was created by the acclaimed American street muralist Tracy Lee Stum. Stum is known for her colorful, interactive 3D chalk art. She has received numerous awards and accolades for her work around the globe. This includes the 2006 Guinness World Record for the largest chalk painting by an individual. Her art at this installation helps bring the magic of Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge to New York.
Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge is the newest resort hotel that is coming to Walt Disney World Resort. When it opens, it will celebrate the beauty of nature as seen through the eyes of Disney artists and storytellers. This 3D mural that street artist Tracy Lee Stum previews this beautiful retreat is inspired by Daydream River, the resort’s blissful lazy river. Guests who stop by can step into this eye-catching sidewalk image and capture photos and videos of themselves enjoying the Disney magic that will be a part of this resort’s relaxing signature experiences.
