A new way to collect pins has arrived at the Disneyland Resort. This comes in the form of pin vending machines. On Thursday, these new vending machines were spotted in three locations throughout the Disneyland Resort by a friend of Daps Magic, Spencer. These new vending machines provide guests with the opportunity to purchase orbs that have pins in them. They are like surprise boxes for pins but with orbs.
These new pin vending machines can be found in the following locations throughout the Disneyland Resort:
- 3 Machines in San Fransokyo in the San Fransokyo Makers Market
- 2 Machines on Pixar Pier Near the Games of Pixar Pier
- 2 Near Star Wars Trading Post in Downtown Disney District
The orbs are made of potato of some sort and meant to be compostable. There is a limit of two if there is a line for these machines. If nobody is in line, the machines will allow up to 11 as a maximum.
There are currently three chasers for these pins. They are:
- The Hat Box Ghost
- Platypus
- Winnie the Pooh
- Dumbo
- Mama Odie
A diamond can be found on the back of the chasers. Spencer took the following photos of the new pin vending machines, the pins, and the chasers. Check them all out here:

The new pin vending machines arrive at the Disneyland Resort as other machines disappear and appear. There are new pressed penny machines being installed throughout the Disneyland Resort. In the last couple of years, multiple photo booths have appeared as well. What do you think of these new pin vending machines? Will you be getting any pins from them? Which pins do you like the most?
