Disney Lakeshore Lodge now has an opening date. This new Disney Vacation Club resort has been coming to life along the shore of Bay Lake at Walt Disney World Resort. It will open its doors to guests on July 1, 2027. Guests can then enjoy the peaceful shores of Bay Lake and be just a short boat ride from Magic Kingdom. This new resort promises to be a serene retreat for guests to experience the beauty and wonder of nature as seen through the eyes of Disney artists and storytellers.
Recently, Disney shared a look at the distinct dining venues that will be found at this resort along with the interactive recreational offerings, unique amenities, and natural design elements. Today, Disney shared how the rooms found at Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge will offer a distinctly different vacation as they blend the wonders of nature with the magic of Disney storytelling.
Disney Lakeshore Lodge will offer 967 rooms that will blend artistic references to classic films with natural materials and earthy color palettes. All of this will be influenced by the great outdoors. After all, “ain’t nothing like the great outdoors to ease your soul.” There will be a variety of offerings that range from duo studios to spacious studios to one-of-a-kind waterfront Lake Houses. In each case, the space is designed for different sizes of travel parties to get the most out of their trip to Walt Disney World Resort.

Lake Houses
A new offering that is unique to Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge is the Lake Houses that will be found along the edge of Bay Lake. These are freestanding one- and two-bedroom retreats. They provide ample space to relax and unwind along the edge of Bay Lake. These Lake Houses A-frame buildings include floor-to-ceiling windows that fill the interior with light and lake views.
Each Lake House will accommodate from five to eight guests. Each will feature a private porch that overlooks the water, a full kitchen, and a washer and dryer. Inside, guests will find artwork that celebrates Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Brother Bear and have nods to the film’s Alaskan setting along with the themes of nature and discovery. In the primary bedroom, guests will find a striking Northern Lights-inspired lighting feature. This will provide a peaceful glow that helps guests relax after a day full of Disney magic and adventure.

Accommodations
Throughout the resort, there will be different accommodations designed to be perfect for different travelers. The duo studios are designed for couples and solo travelers. They will draw inspiration from the vibrant spirit of Encanto. In these studios, guests will find a kitchenette, a spa-like split bathroom, and a queen-size pull-down bed that conveniently tucks up into the wall when it isn’t being used. This will transform the space based on what it is being used for during the day or at night.

The deluxe studios are inspired by the woodland charm of Bambi. These will feature warm natural materials. There will also be original concept artwork from the archives and living spaces that can accommodate up to four guests. The space includes a kitchenette, private balcony, and a comfortable seating area that will welcome families home after a day of fun.

One- and two-bedroom villas will also be themed to Bambi. They will include soft earth tones, subtle forest motifs, and artwork that is inspired by the film’s natural landscapes. These are designed for larger travel parties. Both the one- and two-bedroom villas will have full kitchens, washers and dryers, private patios, and spacious living and dining areas. They will be able to accommodate up to five and nine guests, respectively.

Guests staying in the three-bedroom grand villas will discover accommodations inspired by Fantasia. They will blend artistic elegance with expansive accommodations. Each will accommodate up to 12 guests. They will offer premium amenities that are designed for multigenerational families. This includes large gathering spaces, multiple bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a private patio with premium water views!

Elevated Accommodations
Disney Lakeshore Lodge will also offer resort rooms on top of the deluxe villas. These will be inspired by the natural beauty of Pocahontas from Walt Disney Animation Studios. The Resort studios will be able to accommodate up to four guests. Resort studio king rooms will be able to accommodate up to two guests. In both cases, they will feature earthy colors and carved wood paneling that have artistic nods to Grandmother Willow. There will also be scenic murals that bring the film’s beautiful landscapes to life.

Some of the accommodations will also include access to The Artist’s Nest. This is an elevated concierge lounge that can be found perched above the treetops. Guests will enjoy personalized service, complimentary refreshments, and some gorgeous views of Walt Disney World Resort.

The Hidden Willow Presidential Suite will offer guests an elevated experience with peaceful views of Bay Lake by day and then stunning views of the fireworks at Magic Kingdom at night. This suite will be able to accommodate up to six guests. It will have two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, and include concierge lounge access.
