Disney Lakeshore Lodge is coming to life along the shores of Bay Lake at Walt Disney World Resort. This Disney Vacation Club property is projected to open in the summer of 2027. This resort promises to be a celebration of the beauty and magic of nature. This will be as seen through the eyes of Disney artists and storytellers. Today, Disney Vacation Club offered new information about this future destination. This included a new concept art.
The new Disney Vacation Club property was originally announced in November 2024. When completed, it will celebrate the connection between nature and imagination. This was a bond that was found in the heart of Walt Disney’s artistic vision. When guests visit, they will experience lush forests found in Bambi, the colorful winds of Pocahontas, and the beautifully majestic peaks of Brother Bear. This will be a resort that pays homage to decades of beloved animated stories that are inspired by the great outdoors. Throughout the property, there will be subtle nods to these timeless stories. They will be woven seamlessly into the architecture, artwork, and the ambience. The goal will be to surround families by the enchantment of nature.

Highlighting Natural Beauty
When it opens, Disney Lakeshore Lodge will embrace its natural surroundings as a crucial part of the guest experience. There will be floor-to-ceiling windows to frame the lush landscape and invite natural sunlight to illuminate thoughtfully designed spaces. The resort’s fantastic location along Bay Lake will provide beautiful views of native flora and fauna during the day. At night, it will offer spectacular views of Magic Kingdom fireworks as they light up the sky.
Waterfront Lake Houses
There will be 967 themed accommodations offered at Disney Lakeshore Lodge. This ranges from studios to multi-bedroom villas. They are designed with families in mind. Studios and villas will combine sophisticated style with the comfort and functionality guests have come to love. They will feature warm natural materials, earthy color palettes, and upscale amenities.
New at Disney Lakeshore Lodge will be the exclusive one- and two-bedroom Lake Houses. They will be found along the waterfront. They will provide guests with a beautiful connection to the beauty of Bay Lake. Disney shares that these unique accommodations will provide enhanced privacy and incredible water views.
Looking Forward
With the opening of this new DVC property still over a year away, there are plenty of details yet to be revealed. These will be coming in future months. Disney will share details about the resort’s dining venues, recreational offerings, unique amenities, and distinctive design elements that will bring the spirit of nature and Disney storytelling to life.
