Disney Adventure World may have just opened its gates to the world earlier this year, but it is just getting started. Around its new Adventure Bay, World of Frozen can already let guests enter and experience the Frozen franchise in an immersive way. The next major addition to this area of the park will be a new area and attraction based on Walt Disney Animation Studios’ The Lion King.
A New Look
This last weekend at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, new details were revealed about this attraction and area of the park. This will offer guests the chance to experience some of their favorite scenes and songs from the 1994 classic when they visit Disneyland Paris. Below is a look at what will be experienced when guests go on this The Lion King attraction at Disney Adventure World.
The Attraction
When guests check out this attraction, they will make their way into the caves beneath the 120-foot-high Pride Rock. They will then take their own place in the Circle of Life as they embark on a musical adventure. As they pass through a variety of memorable scenes from the film, they will hear some of their favorite songs from the film. This will culminate with Simba’s final confrontation with Scar. This will show this in a new way. This attraction will be a complete retelling of Simba’s journey from lion cub to becoming the Lion King. It will cover the happy and not-so-happy moments that were a part of this journey.
This attraction will feature a brand new flume system that includes a thrilling 52-foot drop. This will make it one of the largest attractions found throughout the Disneyland Paris resort. The ride will be part of an all-new immersive world that is dedicated to the characters and stories from this beloved film. It will include the attraction, dining, and shopping. There will also be opportunities to meet some favorite characters!
Continued Transformation
The work of building this ride has already begun. It started after the debut of Disney Adventure World. This attraction and area of the park will be a major piece of the creative vision that is a part of the ongoing transformation of the second park at Disneyland Paris (originally Walt Disney Studios).
