There were a lot of announcements that came out of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. These announcements covered Disney Entertainment, Disney Experiences, and beyond! While a bulk of the focus was on the new attraction and area based on The Lion King at Disneyland Paris in Disney Adventure World, there were other things that were revealed as well. One of these things was a new daytime parade that will be coming to Disneyland Paris.
This new parade will be the first new daytime parade to come to Disneyland Paris since 2017. This new parade will be unique to Disneyland Paris become the new anchor of the daytime entertainment for the park.
The parade will be led by Mickey Mouse and his pals. It will be offered daily and honor the timeless Disney magic and the power of dreams. This will be done with elegant, state-of-the-art new floats that welcome beloved characters from Walt Disney Animation Studios. This will include characters and films like Genie and Jasmine from Aladdin, Tiana from The Princess and the Frog, Rapunzel from Tangled, as well as friends like Miguel from Disney and Pixar’s Coco.
“Parades are part of the DNA of a Disney Park, and this one raises the bar. From the float designs and costumes to the music, every element has been carefully crafted with passion and a lot of heart. What excites me most is how creativity speaks across generations: timeless stories that both parents and kids will adore. We’re confident it will be a magical celebration that will captivate guests of all ages.“ said Dana Harrel, Vice President, Entertainment at Disneyland Paris.
This brand-new daytime parade required over 10,000 hours of research and technical development. There were also nearly 225 sketches of costumes, wigs, and makeup to bring the stories to life.
