On May 9, 2025, it’s a small world is scheduled to reopen after a multi-month refurbishment. This will see the attraction reopening ahead of the start of Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration. This refurbishment has seen the clock face removed and returned, as the attraction has sat behind walls. This weekend, the attraction reached a substantial milestone as it gets closer to reopening. The walls have come down around the attraction. The attraction looks beautiful and is one step closer to welcoming guests on the happiest cruise that ever sailed once again.
Spencer, a friend of Daps Magic, stopped by Fantasyland on Saturday and discovered that the walls had come down from around it’s a small world. Check out the pictures he took and shared on a day that had rain coming down on and off.

When it’s a small world reopens in May, it will include characters from the Piar Animation Studios’ film, Coco. This won’t be the only change for it’s a small world. On July 17th, a third verse to the legendary song will be added to the attraction. Written by Richard Sherman before his death, these lyrics were first revealed during Jolly Holiday: A Musical Celebration of Richard M. Sherman at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.
Here is a look at it’s a small world as it was seen before being transformed to it’s a small world Holiday in 2024.
