While card # 29 technically celebrates the refreshing of an aging area of the park, New Fantasyland is a bright spot during a somewhat dim era in Disneyland history. In addition to the area’s charming new look, there was a completely new attraction, Pinocchio’s Daring Journey. As an added bonus, Mrs. Walt Disney returned to the park for the re-opening ceremony in May.
