The Disneyland Resort revealed new nametags today. These nametags are colorful, have park icons on them, and also include the cast member’s name and hometown. Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock wrote a message about these new nametags and their meaning. All of this comes as the Disneyland Resort is continuing to ramp up its DisneylandForward initiative. This means that there are exciting new nametags as the Disneyland Resort moves into an exciting new era. Below is the message from Ken Potrock revealing the new nametags:
We had an incredible 2023, and I’m even more enthusiastic for 2024. For an almost 69-year-old business, it’s exciting to know our best days are ahead.
And speaking of a new year, I’m thrilled to share a first look at our new Disneyland Resort nametags that our cast members are beginning to wear – colorful and bright to represent our optimism for the future.
When asked about inspiration for our new nametag, I immediately thought of our DisneylandForward initiative and the desire to bring new stories, entertainment and experiences to our fans. It’s a special time as we dream about what the next decades could bring to The Happiest Place on Earth, and the team did an amazing job representing our optimism in this new design.
Using bright colors, Disneyland Resort landmarks and plenty of pixie dust – the costume design & development team created an exciting design that represents the energy our cast members bring to making magic for our guests.
Our Disney nametags represent a longstanding tradition that we all share as cast members. Whether working onstage, backstage or off-site, nametags are worn with great pride and a sense of responsibility to create joy and inspiration for all who come to Disneyland Resort.

Over the years, our nametags have evolved to celebrate our cast members and their Disneyland Resort achievements. Still, they continue to represent Walt’s vision of hospitality: friendly cast members who make intentional connections with guests and create magical memories every day.
With many exciting experiences coming in 2024 and potential opportunities for growth through DisneylandForward, we’re imagining new ways to create those magical memories for our guests. New lands, new adventures, new immersive experiences … I can’t wait to see what our future holds at Disneyland Resort.
