As work continues on the Eastern Gateway project, changes are coming to the arrival process. Already, work can be seen happening on the east side of the Esplanade, where ticket booths have been removed, and a new security screening tent is being erected (as can be seen below). As this general area will ultimately end up having a bridge from a new parking and transportation hub coming into it, things are getting moved around. This includes the locations for shuttles and buses that arrive from Good Neighbor Hotels and third-party hotels.

The Disneyland Resort has had the following notice on its website regarding the future drop-offs for these shuttles:
Good Neighbor Hotel and third-party hotel shuttle drop-off locations will soon move to the new Downtown Disney District Shuttle Area near Lululemon in Downtown Disney.

Now it is known when “soon” will be. This change in drop-off location will take place on November 2, 2026. Starting on that date, guests aboard Good Neighbor Hotels and third-party hotel shuttles will be dropped off at this new location. After being dropped off, they will follow the walkway to the security tents near Lululemon and Star Wars Trading Post on the west end of the Downtown Disney District. Then, they can either walk through the Downtown Disney District to enter the parks or take the Monorail to Tomorrowland if they choose.

Ultimately, these shuttles will end up dropping guests off at the new parking structure and transportation hub that is being built across Harbor Boulevard from the Disneyland Resort. This will be quite some time off, however. Ground was broken on this parking structure and transportation hub in August. When the groundbreaking took place, Disneyland Resort President Jill Estorino said, “This new parking structure and transportation hub will transform how guests arrive, creating a more seamless experience from the start of their day, while improving traffic flow throughout the resort area.”
When completed, this new parking structure and transportation hub (on the east side of Disneyland Resort) will provide over 6,000 parking spaces, shuttle, and ride-share areas. There will also be dedicated access for traffic off Disney Way. This will improve both parking and traffic flow around the resort area.
For those who park in the Toy Story Parking lot, there will be a new location for the shuttle drop-off as well. Toy Story Lot shuttle drop-off will remain in the East Esplanade area and will move slightly north and closer to Harbor Boulevard.
