Walt Disney World Resort Cast Members will soon be given new name tags as things gear up for ‘The World’s Most Magical Celebration’ that is starting on October 1st. This celebration of 50 years of Walt Disney World Resort has already seen Cinderella Castle get a makeover. Now, the Cast Member nametags will be as well.
The new name tags took over a year for designers to create as colors and printing techniques were tested. The final design includes multiple elements that Disney has shared:
- An exclusive color wash, inspired by the sparkling new 50th anniversary looks for Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, was developed and applied with an innovative printing technique and glaze to give each nametag a pearlescent shimmer.
- Holographic gold foil with sparkling color-shift elements is individually applied to each nametag, bringing additional shine to the Walt Disney World Resort 50th anniversary logo.
- Royal blue lettering matching the turrets of Cinderella Castle brings a regal pop of color to the nametag, ensuring each cast member name and hometown is a focal point against the glistening background.
The combination of these elements will produce a “distinct shine” on each nametag and give them their EARidescent look. This look will be featured throughout the Walt Disney World Resort during ‘The World’s Most Magical Celebration.’ The celebration will take place over the course of 18 months. EARidescent decor will appear throughout this celebration as if by magic. More details about this celebration are promised by Disney in the near future.
