Shanghai Disney Enchanted Star Hotel has an opening date. Shanghai Disney Resort has announced that its newest hotel will be opening on December 16, 2026. Reservations will open on November 6, 2026, at midnight (local time). The new hotel is located next to the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and overlooks both Shanghai Disneyland and Wishing Star Lake.
The Shanghai Disney Enchanted Star Hotel will be a 400-room premium hotel that will offer Disney storytelling, leisure offerings, and a tranquil lakeside setting for those who stay there. It will add to the Shanghai Disney Resort’s multi-day and staycation experience.
The hotel is named after the fabled Wishing Star that represents Disney dreams, wishes, and possibilities in so many of its stories. It will bring this theme to life both inside, outside, and with the guest experience it offers. Guests will be able to enjoy and discover imaginative details and immersive storytelling throughout the hotel.
This hotel’s architecture was inspired by the charm of early 20th-century Shanghai. At nine stories tall, it will embrace an elegant Art Nouveau style. It was built with the guiding principle of “Authentically Disney, Distinctly Chinese.” This makes for a blend of Disney storytelling with local influences that are found through its design and operations, along with its food, beverage, merchandise, and entertainment offerings. This makes for a destination where heritage and innovation come together.
The guest rooms for this new hotel are designed to be both elegant and immersive. They will blend Disney storytelling with refined comfort. Each room is inspired by wishes and wishing stars and includes thoughtfully curated artwork, subtle Disney touches, and warm, inviting details. These elements come together to offer a relaxing retreat for guests to enjoy during their Disney journey after a day in the park.
There will be different types of guest rooms available when reservations open on November 6, with more room types opening up closer to the hotel’s official opening date. On november 6th, the following rooms will be available to book:
- Enchanted Star Deluxe Room
- Enchanted Star Deluxe Room (Park View)
- Enchanted Star Dream Room
- Enchanted Star
Club Room
This hotel is designed to be a family-friendly destination that will be enjoyed by guests of all ages. It will include indoor swimming facilities along with several themed play areas that are inspired by Disney characters and stories. On top of that, there will be the first outdoor swimming pool at the Shanghai Disney Resort on hand. It will be open seasonally.
There will also be multiple dining, shopping, and entertainment offerings found at this hotel. The Enchanted Seasons Restaurant is just one of the dining venues that will be found there. This restaurant will take inspiration from the changing seasons and weave together Disney storytelling with Chinese and international cuisine. The hotel will offer special entertainment, memorable encounters with Disney characters, and merchandise to bring home. The hotel will offer opportunities for families and friends to create lasting memories together.
When the Shanghai Disney Enchanted Star Hotel opens, guests will get to enjoy a location that is on the shores of Wishing Star Lake that is right next to the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel. It will offer views of Wishing Star Park and Shanghai Disneyland. There will also be a dedicated hotel connector between both hotels. Guests will be able to enjoy access to shared recreation facilities. This includes fitness centers, swimming pools, indoor and outdoor themed play areas, along with the shopping and dining experiences. This will add to the experience of multi-day stays for guests. This is also near the newly installed crane sculptures that are nearby that help guests connect with nature.
