Shanghai Disney Resort turns 10 years old on June 16, 2026. During a special event celebrating the milestone, the resort revealed the name for a third hotel that is being built on the property. Work began on this hotel in mid-2023. Nearly three years later, the official name has been revealed for this hotel. The third hotel at Shanghai Disney Resort will be known as Disney Enchanted Star Hotel.
Disney Enchanted Star Hotel will have Art Nouveau-inspired architecture. This will pay homage to Shanghai’s early 20th-century architectural legacy. It will have 400 rooms. This hotel is located by Wishing Star Lake and draws inspiration from the fabled Wishing Star. It will open in the winter of 2027. This new hotel will provide views of Shanghai Disneyland. It will also offer amenities that fans know and love at a Disney hotel. It will continue the philosophy that has guided the building of the resort since day one of being “authentically Disney and distinctly Chinese.”
This isn’t the only hotel that is being built at Shanghai Disney Resort, however. There is a fourth one on the way as well. Announced in late 2025, this hotel will be found near the entrance of Shanghai Disneyland. This hotel will be the closest hotel at the resort to Shanghai Disneyland’s entrance. When completed, it will join the following hotels:
- Shanghai Disneyland Hotel
- Toy Story Hotel
- Disney Enchanted Star Hotel
The addition of this hotel and the fourth one comes as leadership at Shanghai Disney Resort works to make this a multi-day destination. This means more offerings, more accommodations, and more Disney magic.
