New Details and Opening Date Unveiled for New EPCOT Nighttime Spectacular

At the Destination D23 event new details and the opening date were revealed for EPCOT’s upcoming nighttime specatular. The announcement was made during “A Celebration of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow,” which was hosted by Josh D’Amaro, the Disney Parks, Experiences and Products chairman. The new show will be called Luminous The Symphony of Us and will debut at Walt Disney World Resort on December 5, 2023.

Walt Disney World Resort President Jeff Vahle shared about the new show saying it is “Brand new show filled with fireworks, fountains, lasers, lighting effects. Fabulous Disney music. Luminous is going to touch your heart. And it’s going to continue our long tradition of amazing nighttime entertainment EPCOT. I cannot wait for you to see it.”

Luminous will be replacing the current show that is being offered at EPCOT, EPCOT Forever! This show replaced IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth when it ended its run in 2019. During Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th anniversary, Harmonious was presented at EPCOT before the return of EPCOT Forever! Below are videos of the three previous shows that have been offered at EPCOT leading up to Luminous.
