The Red Car Trolley will be returning to Disney California Adventure on July 17, 2022. The attraction closed in 2019 to make way for the construction of Avengers Campus. With the reopening of Disney California Adventure and then the opening of Avengers Campus, the Red Car Trolley did not return. Now, that will change as the trolley makes its way from Hollywood Land to Buena Vista Street and back.
The confirmation of the return of the Red Car Trolley for Sunday, July 17 was made on social media by the Disneyland Resort.
The Red Car Trolley makes its way back and forth between Hollywood Land and Buena Vista Street. The attraction is modeled after the Pacific Electric Railway trolleys that crisscrossed the Los Angeles area from 1887 until 1961. At that time, there was more than 1,000 miles of track for those trolleys.
