Over the weekend it didn’t just collect more ticket sales, it also collected a new distinction. It is now the 6th most successful film at the global box office. This is without an adjustment for inflation.
Over the weekend, No Way Home surpassed 2019’s The Lion King with its $1.66 billion and 2015’s Jurassic World which garnered $1.67 billion globally. No Way Home has now brought in $1.69 billion globally as of Sunday.
Over the weekend the film brought in $27.7 million from 63 markets. This sets its international take at $970.1 million. Domestically it had a good weekend as well and took the top spot with an estimated $14.1 million. This brings its domestic total to $721 million, the fourth-highest of all time.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is the third Spider-Man film to feature Tom Holland in the title role. With the success of the first three, Marvel and Sony are already planning future films with Holland as Spidey.
