This Fall, Walt Disney World is bringing magic to guests in a whole new way! Starting September 23, guests visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be able to access Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance through a standby queue!
In the past, guests have been able to access virtual boarding groups for this epic Star Wars attraction. Starting this fall, that will be paused. In the Disney Parks Blog article, they note that virtual queues could be used again for this attraction in the future, so be sure to keep your eyes open!
When Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure opens at EPCOT on October 1, it will be utilizing the virtual queue system. Walt Disney World has said that Disney Genie will also be released this Fall to help you make the most out of your Disney vacation!
At this time, these changes only apply to Walt Disney World Resort. The Disneyland Resort will continue to utilize virtual boarding groups for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Web-Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure. We will keep our eyes and ears open for any news about the use of the standby queue for these attractions!
