On Friday the Golden Horseshoe once again found its stage entertaining people with the opening of the Showdown at the Golden Horseshoe. The show features two dueling pianists that play a collection of music throughout their approximately 25-minute show. It is shown daily at 11:30 AM, 12:30 PM, 1:30 PM, 3:00 PM, 4:00 PM, and 5:00 PM.
The show begins with one pianist performing on the Golden Horseshoe Saloon. The performance has some classic old west humor. After a while, another renown pianist arrives and things get going. The duel that ensues is humorous, energetic and fun!
Showdown at the Golden Horseshoe is an entertaining addition to Frontierland. It isn’t quite as interactive as The Laughing Stock Co. as guests aren’t being invited to come up on stage to participate. However, it is funny and it includes quite a range of music. There is probably going to be something recognized by just about anyone coming into the Golden Horseshoe Saloon for the show. It also does a surprisingly good job of staying true to the roots of Frontierland.
