MARCH 18, 2005 — Tony Mancini, senior vice president for global retail store development with Walt Disney Imagineering/Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, will leave the company on Tuesday, March 22. While Mancini says he expects to announce future plans within the next six months, he told DDI, “I have always been committed 110 percent to the company, and have recently been evaluating exciting opportunities. This allows me the time to pursue my future. It is time for a new challenge and, while leaving Disney was difficult, I look forward to the next chapter in my career, knowing it will continue to be exciting. What is most important to me is my ongoing commitment to our industry, and this will not impact my continued involvement and support.” Mancini is a member of DDI’s editorial advisory board, and a past winner of the industry’s esteemed Markopoulos award.
