Halloween is just around the corner, and the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood is getting ready to screen two Halloween classics and favorites. Both movies were released in 1993 and have developed quite a following over those 30-plus years.

The first movie to be shown will be Hocus Pocus. In Disney’s Hocus Pocus, Academy Award® nominee Bette Midler (Best Actress, 1991, For The Boys) stars with Sarah Jessica Parker (Sex And The City) and Kathy Najimy (The Wedding Planner) as three wild witches who return from seventeenth-century Salem for a night of zany fun and comic chaos. After they’re conjured up by unsuspecting pranksters, the tricky trio sets out to cast a spell on the town and reclaim their youth. But first they must outwit three feisty kids determined to foil their scheme! Filled with bewitching laughs and magic, this hilarious film is perfect for the whole family!
To celebrate, there will be a Hocus Pocus Fan Event on Friday, October 9 at 7pm. The Fan Event will begin with a special introduction from composer John Debney and creator David Kirschner! Don’t forget to take a photo at our cauldron photo op.

But his merry mission puts Santa in jeopardy and creates a nightmare for good little boys and girls everywhere.
There will be a Fan Event for Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas in 4D on October 16 at 7:30pm. The Fan Event will include an introduction by Don Hahn and a live drawing demo with George McClements before the movie! Don’t forget to snap a picture at our Holiday door photo op.
