Avengers: Endgame has once again taken the top spot at the all-time box office. Over the weekend, it earned enough to be the number one film of all time. This comes thanks to the success of Avengers Endgame: Encore. This helped the film pass 20th Century Studios’ Avatar to become the highest-growing film of all time. It has now earned approximately $2.29255 billion globally. This surpasses Avatar’s $2.9237 billion.

In total, Disney is responsible for seven of the ten highest-grossing films of all time.
This continues to build on the legacy of the 2019 blockbuster. This was the culmination of over a decade of storytelling as the Marvel Cinematic Universe grew and developed the Infinity Saga.
This also builds on the strength of Marvel Studios at the global box office. The studio has garnered over $35 billion globally over the course of 38 theatrical releases. This makes the Marvel Cinematic Universe the most successful film franchise in the history of moviedom.

The success of Avengers: Endgame is another example of how The Walt Disney Company continues to develop interconnected storytelling. This brings together characters and storylines that have been developed throughout years of filmmaking into one single, unforgettable global event.
This newest success for Marvel Studios continues to demonstrate how Disney has an ability to tell stories that connect with fans across multiple generations.
