More Options Than Ever Offered by Disney Cruise Line Out of San Diego, California

The Disney Cruise Line is adding more itineraries than ever to its sailings from San Diego, California. From fall 2026 through spring 2028, the Disney Cruise Line will be offering a wide range of sailings for cruisers who want to sail from the California coast. This includes the popular Very Merrytime and Halloween on the High Seas. Earlier this year, Daps Magic was invited by the Disney Cruise Line to cruise out of San Diego on a four-day sailing with stops at Catalina Island and Ensenada. This is just one of the itineraries that will be available to voyagers.

Along with visits to Catalina Island or Ensenada, Mexico, the Disney Cruise Line has itineraries with stops in Mexico at Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, and Mazatlán. There are 3- or 4-night cruises with stops at places like Catalina Island and Ensenada. There are also 5- or 6-night cruises with the chance to visit Cabo San Lucas. Go on a 7-night cruise and get to see Mazatlán or Puerto Vallarta (some itineraries visit both).

On top of all of these itineraries, there are two 14-night Panama Canal cruises. This allows seeing even more destinations and coastlines, with visits to Cartagena, Colombia, Fuerte Amador (Panama City), George Town, Grand Cayman, and ultimately Galveston, Texas.

As mentioned above, there are several different cruises that can be enjoyed by guests sailing out of San Diego. This ranges from 3-night cruises to 14-night cruises. Below is a look at the variety of different options that can be enjoyed from the beautiful Port of San Diego.

There are a couple of different options for those wanting to go on a 3-Night Baja Cruise out of San Diego. In fact, currently there are 37 different sailings listed for this length of cruise out of San Diego. They have options that visit Ensenada, Mexico, or Catalina Island and Ensenada. The 4-Night Baja Cruises see the Disney Wonder or Disney Magic taking guests to Ensenada or Catalina Island with a day at sea. This is the cruise that Disney Cruise Line took Daps Magic on. Ensenada is the largest city in Baja California. It is also the home of the La Bufadora marine geyser and the Plaza Cívica. On Catalina Island, California, you can visit Catalina Casino or see the island’s resident bison, descendants of a 1920s-era movie production (see Daps Magic’s experience with this here).

14-Night Panama Canal Cruises (One-Way)

In November of 2026 and 2027, the Disney Magic will be setting sail for a 14-night repositioning cruise. This will take it from San Diego to Galveston, Texas. Along the way, there will be some incredible stops and sights to be experienced.

Both cruises include Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, the Panama Canal, and Cartagena, Colombia. On the 2026 sailing, the ship will also stop at George Town. In 2027, the Disney Cruise Line will make its maiden call on Fuerte Amador (Panama City).
