A new Gonzo-inspired watch is being released through a collaboration between Swiss luxury watchmaker Oris and Disney’s The Muppets. Called the ProPilot X Gonzo Edition, this is a special-edition mechanical watch based on the ProPilot X Calibre 115. It brings the charm of this favorite Muppet to the wearer’s wrist.

Looking at this watch, it is easy to see how it connects with Gonzo the Great. The 44mm multi-piece titanium watch features a skeletonized dial in a blue-to-red-to-yellow gradient. There is also a rainbow laser-textured dial ring. The watch also has a 10-day power reserve that is indicated by a chili-shaped hand.
Perhaps the best part about this watch is the open barrel. As the hand-wound movement is wound, a laser-etched image of Gonzo’s face will gradually appear across the 1.8m mainspring. This will disperse as the power reserve runs down. This is the first time this has been done in the realm of Swiss watchmaking. Completing the watch is a titanium bracelet, sapphire crystal, and it has 100m water resistance.
This is the third time that Oris and The Muppets have partnered together on a project. This newest partnership combines the innovative technology of Oris Watches with this beloved Muppet. The following photos were shared by Oris and give a beautiful look at this new watch:
