The Walt Disney Company has earned 125 Emmy nominations ahead of the 78th Emmy Awards on September 14, 2026. Among these nominations are shows that were honored, including The Bear, The Muppet Show, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour | The Final Show, and more! One of these programs is Only Murders in the Building, which earned 5 Emmy nominations. The following nominations were given to the series that stars Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez:

The nominations come as the sixth season of Only Murders in the Building is on its way to Hulu. The sixth season will see the cast heading to the United Kingdom on its most recent investigation. For Season 6, Charles, Oliver, and Mabel will find their next case taking them to the United Kingdom. This time, they are investigating the murder of their rival podcaster Cinda Canning. Canning was found dead at the end of Season 5. Unsurprisingly, Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez are back in their lead roles for the series. Tina Fey will be returning as Cinda Canning. Production began on the season in the middle of May.
Beyond the casting and location being the United Kingdom, there is very little known about the next season. This is also in line with how information was released for previous seasons. A release date has not been announced. Previous seasons were released in late summer or early fall. Most commonly, new seasons arrive in August.
Only Murders in the Building comes from the creative minds of co-creators and writers Steve Martin and John Hoffman. Martin and Hoffman executive produce along with Martin Short, Selena Gomez, Dan Fogelman, and Jess Rosenthal. The series is produced by 20th Television, a part of Disney Television Studios.
