On Sunday, September 27, 2026, D23 members took over Disney California Adventure for D23 Night at Oogie Boogie Bash. This was a special presentation of Oogie Boogie Bash that had some very special offerings. This included special characters, photo ops, a button, pins for sale, and a DJ! The headliner for the event was the return of Zombie Captain America.
As guests entered the park for the party, they were given buttons for the night. It turned out these buttons did glow in the dark as well. Along with the traditional treat trails and characters, Zombie Captain America and the Queen of Hearts also made appearances throughout the evening. The return of Zombie Cap was the true hit of the night as fans buzzed about him at the party and on the internet.
Zombie Captain America debuted in Marvel Studios’ WHAT IF…? Fans were soon ecstatic when he appeared midway through the season of the 2021 Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure. On Sunday night during this Halloween party, he made multiple appearances in Avengers Campus throughout the evening. He was perhaps one of the most terrifying offerings at the Disneyland Resort, with the werewolf from Werewolf by Night being a close runner-up.
Also at D23 Night at Oogie Boogie Bash was the Queen of Hearts. She made appearances throughout the night as well and delighted guests. She was a little more difficult to find, but friend of Daps Magic, Spencer, found both her and Zombie Cap throughout the night. He shared his photos and videos of the event with Daps Magic.
The whole night was filled with fun, with many attendees saying it was the best Oogie Boogie Bash in years. The special offerings, along with the new Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake – A Haunted Mansion Street Party, filled the night with a whole lot of Halloween Time fun.
