An animated countdown has appeared on Taylor Swift’s website. It has a billboard in it that is similar to some that have appeared in real life. Jessie, from the Toy Story franchise, also makes an appearance and smiles in the corner. The countdown currently has an end time of June 1st at 2:00 PM ET. It also appears to be linked to her store. What this means is anybody’s guess. It comes ahead of the arrival of Toy Story 5 in theaters on June 19th.

Taylor Swift has worked with Disney before. She has multiple programs currently streaming on Disney+, including her most recent tour and a documentary about the end of it. Here is what can currently be found on Disney+ that features Swift:
- Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version)
- Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show
- Taylor Swift: The End of an Era
- folklore: the long pond studio sessions
To help promote her final concert film and documentary, some of her concert costumes were also put on display in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

If Taylor Swift and Pixar are working together on something with Toy Story 5, it would not be the first time that Pixar has included a big name for a song in this franchise. This has included Randy Newman, who performed You’ve Got a Friend in Me, and Sarah McLachlan with her heartbreaking When Somebody Loved Me. Both songs were written by Newman. Currently, all that Pixar has said about this Swift is that she is not performing during the credits.
There have been several teases leading up to the momentum that has built in recent days. This has included a countdown that appeared previously on Taylor Swift’s website, billboards, and even a recent post from Pixar on Instagram with Jessie dancing to Shake It Off, one of Swift’s more popular songs. This video was captioned with “She’s making those moves up as she goes!” Fans have connected the dots between this lyric and the song, using it as added weight for the case that Swift must be involved with Toy Story 5 somehow. On top of that, the use of “TS” in marketing material has also added to the speculation.
This afternoon, there may be some answers as to what is going on with all of these teasers. It is also possible that this is yet another tease that will draw fans further into this rabbit hole of excitement. This is something that Taylor Swift is known to do, and she does it very effectively. These clues and teases have been used in the past to market her concerts and albums.
What do you think it all means? Will Taylor Swift be a part of Toy Story 5? Do you think she will be singing in it? Do you think she will voice a character and have a cameo (or more)? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
