The cast continues to grow for Season 6 of Only Murders in the Building. The hit Hulu series continues to reveal more cast members who are a part of the series as it takes its first trip over the pond to the United Kingdom. The most recent casting announcement reveals that multiple Doctor Who alumni will be joining the cast. As has been the case with all of these casting announcements, the specifics about what each person’s role is are still unknown. Below is a look at the newest list of cast members who have joined the show, and their Doctor Who connections if they have them:
- David Tennant – 10th and 14th Doctor on Doctor Who
- Nicola Coughlan – Doctor Who companion Joy Almondo on Doctor Who
- Jodie Whittaker- 13th Doctor on Doctor Who
- Jim Broadbent – 11th Doctor on Doctor Who
- Richard Ayoade
- Adrian Lukis – Sir Jonathan Hynes in Doctor Who spinoff The War Between the Land and the Sea

All of the casting announcements come after the shocking ending of Season 5. For Season 6, Charles, Oliver, and Mabel will find their next case taking them to the United Kingdom. This time, they are investigating the murder of their rival podcaster Cinda Canning. Canning was found dead at the end of Season 5. Unsurprisingly, Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez are back in their lead roles for the series. Tina Fey is also already known to be returning as Cinda Canning. Production began on the season in the middle of May.
Beyond the casting and location being the United Kingdom, there is very little known about the next season of this popular show. This is also in line with how information was released for previous seasons. A specific release date has not been announced either. Previous seasons were released in late summer or early fall. Most commonly, new seasons arrive in August.
Only Murders in the Building comes from the creative minds of co-creators and writers Steve Martin and John Hoffman. Martin and Hoffman executive produce along with Martin Short, Selena Gomez, Dan Fogelman, and Jess Rosenthal. The series is produced by 20th Television, a part of Disney Television Studios.
