A Day Full of Frozen Fun

During a cruise to Alaska aboard a Disney Cruise, there are some incredible things to do, see, and experience! Alaska itself is absolutely stunning. Parts of it could also be reminiscent of some of the scenery seen in the Frozen films and specials. While this isn’t the Scandinavian region, it does have the Nordic thing going. This makes for a perfect place for Frozen-inspired storytelling that has been created for Alaska sailings aboard the Disney Wonder and Disney Magic.

First off, on the upper deck, there is a heartwarming, music-filled live show that is performed called For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration.

This show is guided by the Royal Historians of Arendelle, who are joined by Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff. Cruisers are invited to sing along as the sisters’ journey from Disney’s Frozen plays out.

This celebration is full of the music and moments that fans love from this story. Set against Alaska’s awe-inspiring scenery, fans can sing along with the lyrics displayed on the big screen. This becomes a feel-good experience for all as they come together to sing along and be part of the story.

This is a great way for families to experience this fan-favorite at sea in a fresh way, with the fresh Alaskan air and scenery adding to the experience.

Other Frozen Offerings

There are several other Frozen-themed experiences to be had on select Alaska sailings. These include:

  • Anna’s Frozen Fun Hunt, a scavenger hunt-style activity designed for families to explore and play together.
  • Oaken’s Maypole Swirl & Twirl, an atrium dance celebration filled with music and movement for all ages.
  • A Frozen‑themed dining experience, where you can enjoy traditional Nordic fare created just for the party — along with special dishes inspired by the hit movie — in a feast fit for a royal appetite.

These Frozen experiences add to what is already an incredible experience visiting Alaska aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship.

Broadway Star Series

For those who love live theater, they will want to check out the Broadway Stars Series on select Disney Cruise Line voyages. This will include some Disney Wonder and Disney magic sailings.

These performances are curated by the Godmother of the Disney Destiny, Susan Egan, and Adam J. Levy of 10th & Main Productions. They bring Broadway and West End performers aboard these ships who then share live performances and behind-the-scenes stories from the world of theater. The talent for these offerings varies by the sailing.

Deck Parties

One of the most magical parts of a Disney cruise is getting to experience the high-energy deck parties aboard these ships. They range from high-energy dance parties to stage shows. Throughout the cruise, there are some incredible moments to be enjoyed, starting with the moment the ship sails away!

Let’s Set Sail

One of the new entertainment enhancements making its way across the Disney Cruise Line fleet is the Let’s Set Sail deck show. This is the new signature sail-away deck stage show for the fleet.

The show is hosted by Captain Mickey and Captain Minnie Mouse. This is an energetic celebration that welcomes guests aboard with groove-worthy music, favorite Disney characters, and lots of fun to set the pace for the voyage!

Mickey’s Color Spin Dance Party

Mickey’s Color Spin Dance Party is expanding this spring! With it comes the vibrant energy to more itineraries across the fleet after it launched on the Disney Wonder in March! It will debut on the Disney Magic in May on select sailings.

This show is set against a spinning virtual color wheel. It allows guests to dance along with Mickey Mouse and friends to upbeat twists on favorite Disney songs. There are plenty of chances to jump in, move, and share some magical moments.

Mickey & Minnie’s Pirates in the Caribbean

Mickey & Minnie’s Pirates in the Caribbean will debut on more select Disney Cruise Line sailings. This is an updated pirate experience that is inspired by the adventurous spirit of the high seas.

The show debuted on the Disney Wonder earlier this spring. It will be coming to the Disney Magic after its Alaska season. This experience is full of energetic music, interactive moments, and some favorite Disney characters who are dressed in their best pirate outfits!

On top of that, there will be some other pirate-themed activities that Disney says will continue to evolve by ship and sailing. This will include the newly updated Match Your Matey that welcomes friends and groups beyond couples for a playful twist to pirate nights at sea. Don’t worry, Match Your Mate will still be offered as well!
