Another guest star has been announced for Season 5 of Only Murders in the Building. With it, a picture of the cast has been released. Logan Lerman is the newest cast member to be announced for this season of Only Murders in the Building. He joins previously announced new cast members Renée Zellweger, Christoph Waltz, and Keegan-Michael Key. What Lerman’s role will be remains shrouded in secrecy.
Logan Lerman
Lerman is known first for his role as the teen son of Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea, in 2010’s Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. He has also been seen on the big screen in Oh, Hi!, Bullet Train, Shirley, and End of Sentence. On the television side of things, he was recently on We Were the Lucky Ones for Hulu and Hunters on Amazon Prime.
Only Murders in the Building
Only Murders in the Building comes from the creative minds of co-creators and writers Steve Martin and John Hoffman. Martin and Hoffman executive produce along with Martin Short, Selena Gomez, Dan Fogelman, and Jess Rosenthal. The series is produced by 20th Television, a part of Disney Television Studios.
Season Four
The fourth season of Only Murders in the Building saw the podcasting sleuths head to California to make a movie. There, they also end up investigating the murder of Sazz Pataki (Jane Lynch) who was Charles’ (Steve Martin) stunt double and friend. This led to questions about if she was the intended victim. It also led to a whole new part of the Arconia with a whole new group of inhabitants. The end of the season also ended with yet another murder at the Arconia.
Season Five
The plot of season five of the series is currently unknown. Beyond the guest stars mentioned before, it isn’t known who else will be joining the cast. The Geeks discussed who they would like to see on this week’s Geeks Corner episode. Season four saw the three main podcasters get Hollywood versions of themselves for their movie. The guest stars in these roles for their movie were Eugene Levy (Schitt’s Creek) as movie Charles, Zach Galifianakis (The Hangover films, Between Two Ferns) as movie Oliver, and Eva Longoria (Deadly Housewives, Flamin’ Hot) as movie Mabel. Other guest stars included Molly Shannon, Kumail Nanjiani, Melissa McCarthy, Desmin Borges, Siena Werber, Lilian Rebelo, Richard Kind, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Catherine Cohen, and Jin Ha. Meryl Streep also made her return as Oliver’s love interest, Loretta Durkin.
