Today is National Waterpark Day. To join in the celebration, Knott’s Soak City announced that two new attractions will be added to the waterpark for its 2027 season. These will be called Coral Craze and Kelp Kraze. Both water slide attractions, they will provide never-before-seen thrills to Southern California.
The new attractions will replace the current Shore Break slide complex. They will be all-new attractions that are manufactured by ProSlide. These updates showcase Knott’s Soak City’s continued commitment to providing new experiences for families and thrill seekers. These two innovative slide experiences will be making their West Coast and North American debuts, respectively.
Coral Craze
The first new slide is Coral Craze. This will be the West Coast’s first triple Family Flying SAUCER attraction. This will accommodate up to five riders per raft. Families will be launched into a high-speed adventure that will give the feel of flying down a world-class ski course. The design was inspired by the manufacturer’s skiing heritage. The attraction’s signature FlyingSAUCER element will include steeply banked turns that accelerate riders through sweeping, gravity-defying maneuvers. This will create a thrilling sensation that is completely different than any other slide experience.
Kelp Kraze
Kelp Krazy will be found on the other side of the raft conveyor. This will be North America’s first double and the West Coast’s only Family HIVE attraction. This will be an immersive five-person, family raft ride that will send riders twisting through a revolutionary series of tight turns and spiraling helix elements. This is designed to create the feeling that the slide is actually revolving around riders! As the rafts race along the outer walls, riders will experience exhilarating G-forces. They will also get to see some incredible panoramic views through the attraction’s translucent walls. This will offer a unique look at the park below. Kelp Kraze will also be the longest Family HIVE ride found in the United States when it opens.

We are thrilled to celebrate National Waterpark Day by announcing two of the industry’s most innovative slide experiences are headed to Soak City, giving guests new ways to ride, splash and make memories together.”
Both of these new attractions will transform the heart of Soak City into a dynamic destination for summer fun.

These new additions to Knott’s Soak City add to the reputation of this waterpark, which is already known for being one of Southern California’s premier waterpark destinations. At this time, specifics, including the opening date, have not been revealed. When they are, Daps Magic will share these updates.
With the heat wave that is currently blanketing Southern California, Soak City offers a wonderful place to cool off. The waterpark will remain open on select days through September 7th. Guests can get the most out of the season with a Gold Season Pass or Gold Membership. The Gold Season Pass includes unlimited visits to Soak City throughout the 2026 season. A Gold Membership provides unlimited access throughout the 2026 season and into 2027. This will include the debut of Coral Craze and Kelp Krazy.
