A new experience will soon be available for guests visiting Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The new experience will let guests build their lightsabers from reclaimed lightsabers. The limited-time experience will begin on May 4, 2025. It will continue while supplies last. Below are the specifics about this limited-time experience:
- For a Limited Time Only—Reclaimed and Reforged
Over the centuries, countless lightsabers fell into the hands of smugglers and bounty hunters. Remnants of ancient battles and abandoned scrap have been scavenged from the distant reaches of the galaxy’s outer rim. Now, Guests can build them into elegant tools that symbolize balance in The Force.
This new, limited-time offering will be available on Batuu starting May 4th, 2025, while supplies last.The Gatherers will now help you select the heart of your lightsaber—the kyber crystal, which is available in red, blue, green or violet.
Next, begin assembling your hilt—parts will be provided based on your theme and cloisonné pin. Each box of parts includes:
- 1 hilt
- 4 sleeves (pick 2)
- 2 emitters (pick 1)
- 2 pommel caps (pick 1)
- 2 sets of activation plates and switches (pick 1 set)
Upon hilt completion, the unused parts will be collected by the Gatherers and returned to Savi’s inventory. These are not included with your lightsaber package.
Finally, the Gatherers will masterfully connect your hilt to a 31” lightsaber blade so you’re ready for anything the galaxy puts in your path!

- $249.99 per lightsaber, plus tax
- Full payment is due at the time of booking
- One lightsaber per builder per experience
- Carrying case included
- Additional customization items can be purchased at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities
- Age Recommendation: 5 years or older
- The experience area is limited to the builder and one Guest—at least one person in the party must be age 14 or older
- Guest of the builder may not build a lightsaber when accompanying the builder
- Custom lightsabers are nonrefundable and are not eligible for Annual Passholder or other discounts
