Last weekend, Disneyland Resort kicked off the 2025 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. This event is truly a celebration of the cuisine of California and continues to make waves every year. Whether you love the classics, like the Mickey-shaped Macaron made with SNICKERS bar pieces, or the new favorites, like the Shrimp Papas Locas, there is something for foodies everywhere!
Mr. Daps and I worked our way through the festival and an 8-entitlement Sip and Savor Pass on the opening day, Friday, February 28. Below, you’ll find our rankings of the food we ate while enjoying our Sip and Savor pass, as well as three items we were offered at the media event for the event kickoff.
Whenever Mr. Daps and I compare food rankings, I find myself to be the most interested in the way we rank different items. For example, my number one item of the festival is the Musubi Fried Rice available at Golden Dreams. At one point during the day, I told a chef that I could “eat the dish by the truckload”. For Mr. Daps, his number one of the day was the Sirloin Gruyere Mac and Cheese, available at Garlic Kissed.
Both of us had surprise hits as well, like the Shrimp Papas Locas, available at Peppers Cali-ente. We both were hesitant to order shrimp and didn’t know what to expect from the dish. We found the shrimp was cooked perfectly and the ratio of potato and sauce was incredible. This dish was an incredible addition to the festival this year!
For the desserts, we did not fall in love with the Cherry Cobbler Pot de Creme. However, we did indulge in the Cafe de Olla Tres Leches cake and enjoyed every minute of it. Be sure to check out our video as well as our rankings below to see even more of our thoughts!
