The Magic of Disney Animation courtyard has opened early. Officially scheduled to open on May 26th, this area recreates the look and feel of The Walt Disney Studios. This area provides access to the future The Magic of Disney Animation, the Studio Theater with The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure, and also a soundstage that is the home for Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!
With it opening early, Daps Magic team member Steven happened to be visiting and took photos and video of the courtyard. It is quickly apparent how much magic there is to be found in the details of this area. There are nods to many different movies, characters, posters, and even iconic locations throughout the courtyard. For those who have been to The Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank, California, the area looks and feels very familiar. All of this is under the backdrop of a building that is reminiscent of the Roy E. Disney Animation Building. While this isn’t a carbon copy of The Walt Disney Studios, it does capture the heart of this magical place. Take a look at this area through Steven’s lens below!
