Edelweiss Lodge

Edelweiss Lodge Opens at Disneyland

The area around the Matterhorn has gotten some attention lately. Edelweiss Snacks received some work, as did the area around it. Fans have eagerly watched to see what would happen. It saw walls going up around both the former motorboat dock and also along the other side next to the lagoon. On Friday, May 22nd, the walls were down, and the new Edelweiss Lodge was revealed.

The Edelweiss Lodge is themed to continue the look and feel of Edelweiss Snacks. There is also a new overhang for guests to stand under when in line for Edelweiss Snacks. Edelweiss Lodge has plenty of fun details and artwork that continue the story of the Matterhorn and Edelweiss Snacks. This includes edelweiss flowers painted on the building as part of the artwork. There are some other fun things to look around for, as well. This includes a height stick for younger fans wanting to go on the nearby Matterhorn. On Friday, the Daps Magic team stopped by and checked out the new lodge. Check out the video and photos below!

The addition of Edelweiss Lodge brings some additional cohesion to this area of the park. It makes this area feel like a little Swiss hamlet. It also makes for a nice place for people to rest and enjoy their food and beverages from the nearby Edelweiss Snacks. There, they can pick up the popular Cheesy Garlic Pretzel Bread, a Turkey Leg, or a Matterhorn Puff. Currently, it is also offering the seasonal Fantasyland Garlic Cheesy Brat.
