On this day in 2013, Fantasy Faire opened at Disneyland. Formerly known as Carnation Gardens Plaza, the area served as a bandstand and dance floor for evening events. After being reimagined, Fantasy Faire gained the Royal Theatre, showing comedic performances of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and ‘Tangled,’ and Royal Hall, a meet and greet for the princesses. Rapunzel’s tower marks the center of the courtyard and Figaro the cat keeps watch from a windowsill (between naps).
