There is a new goodnight kiss at Disneyland that makes for an excellent way for Star Wars fans to end their night at The Happiest Place on Earth! On nights when there are fireworks at Disneyland, guests can experience two Star Wars nighttime shows in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
The first show is at 8:30 or 9:00 (check the schedule) and is Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga. This is a projection show that takes place in the area around the Millennium Falcon. This tells the story of the Skywalker saga in a unique and beautiful way.
Following Shadows of Memory, enjoy watching the skies above the spires light up during Fire of the Rising Moons. This sees the magic of Disneyland fireworks accompanied by the beauty of Star Wars music.
Following Shadows of Memory and Fire of the Rising Moons, enjoy the rest of the evening in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. This could be by getting a snack, a drink, or hopping on an attraction or two.
The Daps Experience
If you are a planner, the way to get the most out of the night is to do the following:
- Make a reservation for Oga’s Cantina at about 10:00 or 10:15 PM (anytime after that would be fine too)
- Stop by Kat Saka’s Kettle to grab a snack and a beverage on the way to get a spot for the two nighttime shows
- Show up in the area in front of the Millennium Falcon well ahead of time to get a good spot where you can see projections and then the fireworks above
- Enjoy the shows
- Following the show, either go enjoy Oga’s, or hop in line for one of the attractions in the land if there is time
- Following Oga’s, try to get on the other attraction if you have time (the after-fireworks timeline can be flexible
- As it gets close to closing time for Disneyland, take photos in front of the Millennium Falcon
