Today’s card celebrates another Disneyland classic, the Pirates of the Caribbean. As the notes on the back of the card, this was the last attraction that Walt Disney worked on extensively himself. It was also the first to be dedicated after he passed away in December of 1966. The card also notes that as of 1995 (the year the cards were released) the attraction showcased some of the newest refinements of Audio-Animatronics. This referred to the auctioneer pirate, a new figure that utilized the updated technology that made the Wicked Witch of the West at the Disney-MGM Studios theme park so amazingly life-like.
