Fall is finally here! Well, for most folks here in Arizona, it’s still hot. Fortunately, for me, I can pretend because all the fun of the autumnal season is coming to Disney Dreamlight Valley! Every year there are fun Halloween events, and this year is no different! There are always new events, Star Paths, Premium Shop Items, and more! This year, we even get a new Villager, Oogie Boogie! So, let’s dive in and see what’s coming our way!

Season of Scares Offerings

• A six-week series of quests with Oogie Boogie and his games.
  • To do these quests, you’ll need to unlock: The Peaceful Meadow, Scrooge McDuck’s Store, and Chez Remy.
• Step into Oogie Boogie’s version of Scrooge’s Store and discover new games and rewards each week throughout the Season of Scares. Check back regularly to see what’s waiting for you! Here’s the full schedule:
  • September 23: Week 1 — A Halloween Invasion
  • September 30: Week 2 — The Oogie Boogie Contract
  • October 7: Week 3 — The Ghost in the Portrait
  • October 14: Week 4 — Rescue Mission
  • October 21: Week 5 — Let the Games Begin
  • October 28: Week 6 — Oogie Boogie’s Big Game  
• Complete Oogie Boogie’s challenges to earn a variety of Halloween-themed rewards throughout the event. Among the things to be unlocked during the event are Zero as a companion pet and Oogie Boogie himself!
  • You won’t need to complete each quest immediately after it becomes available. As long as you begin the first Oogie Boogie quest before November 4th, you’ll be able to continue and complete the remaining quests at your own pace. After November 4th, Oogie Boogie will leave the Valley, but if you’ve begun his quests before the event ends, you’ll still be able to complete his quests and unlock Oogie Boogie as a villager and Zero as a companion.
• Along with the Season of Scares arrives the frightfully delightful Haunting Elegance Star Path! Charm all your trick-or-treating guests with new bewitching attire and adorn your Valley with new dark, whimsical furniture pieces.
• October 7th marks the return of the Haunted Floating Festival event! Until October 31st, explore the decorated festival grounds to discover new and returning puzzles, and earn exclusive seasonal decorations for solving them!
• October 14th until October 31st, the Trick or Treat event is back, featuring an all-new way to earn candy! Collect frightfully delicious Trick-or-Treater’s Bounty from around the Plaza, or now, by going door to door, trick-or-treating at houses that feature a jack-o’-lantern outside! New rewards for this year include Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Halloween Town exterior decorations!
• The premium shop updates will include:
  • The Evil & Good Witch Bundle, featuring new wickedly magical attires, enchanting new furniture pieces and matching bee-witching companions.
  • A new costume inspired by Disney’s television series Once Upon a Time, complete with its very own new Red Riding Hood Wolf companion!   
  • Stitch will get a new Vampire Costume Stitch Dream Style.
  • A new Sinister Bridge Kit complete with its own garden set.
  • A new Companion Bundle welcoming Lucifer, from Disney’s Cinderella, who arrives with the special ability to chase after critters, gathering rewards and unique Photo Mode poses.
• As part of their biome specific crafting recipes, you’ll be able to complete a mysterious array of new witchy-inspired arcane furniture pieces for your Forest of Valor. These will become available during the Season of Scares.

Also Coming this Update

• They’re introducing the Event Board! This new feature is part of the new introductory Star Path: the Astronomer’s Journey Star Path.
  • After having unlocked your first realm and speaking to Merlin, you’ll be able to start completing this new introductory Star Path.
  • Progress at your own pace by completing quests around the Valley to unlock special astronomy-based rewards.
• Decoration Presets codes will be added as a new feature allowing you to create and share your Presets with other Valley Villagers using code sharing.
• The last rooms in Olaf’s Grand Exhibition, The Forgotten Realm and the Plaza, will be opening, along with all new rewards for those who complete all the exhibition rooms!
• New items will be hitting Scrooge McDuck’s Store such as the Aqua Mermaid Backpack, the Scarlet Gothic Chair, the Cozy Autumn Bed, Botanical Vine Flower Lamp, and more.
