On this day in 1965, Disneyland kicked off its “Tencennial” Celebration with a special episode of ‘Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color.’ During the broadcast of “Disneyland’s 10th Anniversary,” Walt Disney recognized the park’s first successful decade and gave sneak peeks of the innovative things yet to come. He introduced Disneyland’s first official Ambassador, Julie Reihm (now Casaletto), who would embark on a global goodwill tour that year. [60 years ago in 2025]
