On this day in 1994, Disney animators moved into their new home on Riverside Drive in Burbank. This location in the Roy E. Disney Animation Building is still the home of the animators today, across the street from the main Disney studio lot. It is known for the giant Sorcerer Mickey hat out front, which gave it the nickname, “The Hat Building.” The new building improved the morale of the animators, who had been working far from the main campus.
