The Walt Disney Family Museum Animation Festival Coming in October 2021

Animation Festival

There is a lot to look forward to in 2021! The Walt Disney Family Museum just announced that they will be bringing a very special Animation Festival to the beautiful Presidio in October 2021 for aspiring animators!

The Walt Disney Family Museum was created by Diane Disney Miller, Walt Disney’s daughter, as a way to preserve her father’s memory. Many people adore Walt Disney for the creation of the theme parks or for movies, but Diane wanted to tell the story of her father’s life from her point of view. This museum resides in the Presidio in San Francisco and has been welcoming guests since October 2009.

The Walt Disney Family Museum Animation Festival will open up to submissions from teen and college-level animators in June 2020. When the festival comes in October 2021, participants can attend workshops and talks, engage in activities, explore a school and career fair, and view the work of the next generation’s talented animators. This will be an incredible opportunity to see the work of animators that will be creating entertainment for generations to come!
