The Disney Treasure begins its maiden voyage today. This first voyage with guests aboard will see the Disney Treasure going on a seven-day sailing from its home port of Port Canaveral, Florida. The trip will see the ship visiting Tortola, British Virgin Islands; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; and Castaway Cay, the private island of the Disney Cruise Line.
Throughout the construction and delivery process, Disney has been posting updates in “Ship’s Log.” What is presumably the final log entry was posted today on the Disney Parks Blog. It said the following:
The wait is finally over! Today, Disney Cruise Line’s all-new ship, the Disney Treasure, welcomes guests on its maiden voyage as it sets sail on a seven-night cruise to the Caribbean from its homeport in Port Canaveral, Florida. During the cruise, the Disney Treasure will visit Tortola, British Virgin Islands; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; and Disney Cruise Line’s private island paradise in The Bahamas, Disney Castaway Cay.
Almost two years ago, Disney Cruise Line launched the first ever ship’s log to track Disney Treasure construction progress, milestones and everything in between for Disney Parks Blog readers. If you’ve been following along since the beginning, you’ve seen everything from the first piece of steel cut and the creation of onboard artwork to the finished ship crossing the Atlantic for the first time. Guests are now boarding the beautiful new Disney Treasure and embarking on an unforgettable adventure with their loved ones.
During the many voyages to come, a lineup of adventures, world-class dining, immersive family entertainment and unique spaces await. You will be able to experience the far-reaching realms of Disney, Marvel, Pixar, and embrace dynamic tales from beloved Disney Parks attractions, through captivating experiences on the high seas for the very first time. A variety of reimagined guest favorites return, and Disney Cruise Line-firsts come to life on the Disney Treasure including Disney’s first “Coco”-inspired theatrical dining experience; an all-new stage show featuring the journey of Moana; brand-new lounges inspired by Disney Parks attractions like Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion and “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea”; and more. Everyone in the family will find something to enjoy!
Following the christening spectacular that lit up the New York City sky, the Disney Treasure’s inaugural season will set sail on year-round seven-night vacations to the Eastern and Western Caribbean, including visits to Disney Castaway Cay; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Cozumel, Mexico; and more picture-perfect Caribbean islands and destinations.
We hope you’ve enjoyed reading all the updates on the Disney Treasure’s progress. We’re officially signing off here on the Disney Treasure ship’s log. But we hope you stay tuned via the Disney Parks Blog and DisneyCruise.com as the Disney Cruise Line fleet continues to grow!
