Disney Cruise Line Announces Special 2-Episode ‘Behind the Attraction’ Special

New episodes of Behind the Attraction are coming to Disney+. Today, the Disney Cruise Line announced that a 2-episode special of the series will premiere on Disney+ on June 24, 2026. This new special will focus on the story of the Disney Cruise Line. It will go back to the origins of the Disney Cruise Line and then tell the story all the way up to the making of the new Disney Destiny.

This third season will include first-hand accounts from the creatives and visionaries who originally helped bring the fleet to life in 1998. It will then follow the bold evolution of the Disney Cruise Line fleet through the years. Ultimately, it will look at the making of Disney Destiny. This is the first heroes-and-villains-inspired ship to join the Disney Cruise Line fleet.

This new season of this series comes at an exciting time for Disney fans. The Disney Cruise Line is currently in the midst of a substantial expansion that sees it grow from today’s 8 ships to 13 ships by 2031. The next ship to join the Disney Cruise Line fleet will be the Disney Believe in 2027. This ship will be another Wish-class ship.

The first season of Behind the Attraction debuted on Disney+ in 2021. The series does exactly what its name implies. It gives a fun look into what is behind the Disney attractions that fans know and love. The first season included ten episodes. The second season had six episodes.

Behind the Attraction is a Disney+ exclusive program that is executive-produced by Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia, and Brian Volk-Weiss.
